Leadership Training Program (FOR AGES 11-17)
What is it?
Our award-winning Leadership Academy Program looks to provide children aged 11-16 with the chance to develop their leadership, managerial and organisational skills by providing them with challenges and responsibilities within our sports camps setting. Whilst still being able to take part in all the fun activities on offer they will also be given tasks to complete which will involve, motivate and activate others within the group to which they are assigned.
The hours children / leaders complete on this course can be logged in line with the national/international Duke of Edinburgh, County Young Coach Academy and School Leaders Awards.
Who is it for?
This amazing Program is open to anyone currently attending Secondary School (Aged 11 to 16) and looking to gain valuable leadership skills. if you are looking for the next challenge and want to develop your leadership and managerial skills along the way, come give this new award-winning program a go!
What do you get?
When you book on for the first time you will receive the following....
Leadership Academy Logbook with Challenge and Tasks which need to be completed and verified by our instructor team to achieve each award stage
An Optional branded T-Shirt to keep (additional cost: £10 which can be purchased on site) clearly showing they are leaders!
Upon completion of each award, they will receive a Certificate of completion and a bonus 'well done!' prize (including such things as a free pass to one of our many events and camp days).
IMPORTANT CAMP NOTES
Please read below some important information regarding our camps:
MORNING DROP OFF:
Please note that for the safety of our campers we lock the gates/doors on camp at 9:20am. If you are going to be late, we ask that you please let us know in advance where possible, thank you.
FOOD & DRINK:
We do not supply lunch at our camps, as such please ensure that your son/daughter attend camp with sufficient food and drink for the day. We do have facilities at all our holiday camp sites where children can refill their water bottles if required.
BE PREPARED:
Please be mindful of the weather conditions that day. If sunny please apply sun cream to your children prior to arrival each day and provide sun cream in their bags.
TUCK SHOP:
We do operate a small tuck shop at all our sites where children can purchase snacks and drinks at specific times in the day. We recommend children bring no more than £2 per day.
CHANGE OF CLOTHES:
A number of our activities run with it a risk of children getting muddy, wet or messy. As such we recommend that all attended children bring with them a full change of clothes and a towel each day (Just in case)
ACTIVITIES MAY CHANGE:
Due to unpredictable nature of the UK weather, some of our daily activities may change under extreme circumstances. This is to ensure all attending children are both safe and continue to enjoy themselves to the fullest on camp.
EARLY DROP OFF:
Please note that we are unable to accept children onto camp before their official 'drop off' time as booked on our registers. Children arriving early will need to wait with an accompanying adult until such time that they have been booked onto camp.
LATE PICK UP:
Please note that children being picked up more than 10mins over their officially booked 'pick up' time will incur a financial penalty of £5 for every 30mins. If you know you will be late, we recommend you either book onto our LATE pick up or contact the Site Manager to arrange an alternative solution.
